I just started today and attempted making the oatbran pancakes. Mine tasted disgusting. I couldn't even finish it. I was wondering what I did wrong as lots of other reviews i've read said they taste nice? I used the right ingredients [oatbran, an egg and cream cheese] so would appreciate any suggestions to make mine edible. Thank you

Welcome!

Here is my recipe for the galette - we *love* them and eat them every morning.

• 1 egg, well beaten
• 1-1.5 T nonfat greek yogurt (not cream cheese! That's way too fatty), beat it in with the egg
• 2-2.5 T oat bran (more for a denser cake, less for a fluffier)
• 1 T oat flour (whole grain is best)
• dash of salt

Heat a skillet over medium high heat, and spray nonstick olive oil on the pan
Pour the batter into the skillet, and cook until bubbles appear on the top and bottom is golden brown.
Flip pancake carefully! Unlike a wheat pancake, there's no gluten to hold it together.
Cook pancake for a few more minutes on the other side.

We serve the pancake with smoked salmon, chopped chives, and 0% fromage blanc - it's kind of like sour cream. If you can't find that, use the fat free greek yogurt. It's so delicious and extremely filling.
